Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Architect, who has a technical understanding of the industry suite of applications and application integration. This person is the epitome of a polyglot: someone who understands theory but strives for practical solutions, is a creative problem solver, and a strategic planner. The successful candidate must be able to figure out the best outcome for a customer with minimal information available at times. The Architect is a jack-of-all-trades with the ability to delegate, manage, and dig into code with both hands.The ability to be a business minded, technical lead that can take charge the minute the deal has been closed is a must.

This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. This is not a remote positon, and the successful candidate will be expected to work out of our Philadelphia office.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Dictate strategy, standards, and tools for projects
  • Ensure standards of quality for all projects
  • Create technical designs that meet the needs of customers and end users
  • Help customers understand the best way of achieving their goals
  • Communicate with project stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Developing functional and complete software products on multiple platforms
  • Be a store-house of knowledge for customer requirements
  • Work with Project Manager to function as a centralized point of communication between customers and project teams
  • Manage project schedule, scope, and budget
  • Educate customers about how to use technology as efficiently as possible

Job Qualifications

  • Computer Science, or engineering background
  • Demonstrated proficiency in at least one mainstream compiled language (Objective-C, C#, Java, C++, C, etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in at least one mainstream interpreted language (Ruby, Python, PHP, etc.)
  • Stellar communicator and team leader
  • Comfortable working within multiple levels of a corporate structure
  • Understanding of complex system design methodologies
  • Ability to work with multiple personalities and work styles
  • A need to find the most efficient ways to solve a problem
  • Prior experience as a software developer
  • Ability to effectively communicate, evaluate, and make decisions in high-pressure, fast-paced environment
