Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team! This person should be a strong, independent developer, able to discern customer requirements and convert them into technical specifications and ultimately product features. The successful candidate must have a track record of consistency and pragmatism in software delivery and leading the development of critical software components. As a team member, the Senior Software Engineer will guide other engineers and share best practices in frontend, backend, and devops development.

This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. The successful candidate will be expected to work out of our Philadelphia office with occasional client visits in the Greater Philadelphia Area.

 

Areas of Responsibility

  • Own critical components of a software product from concept to deployment
  • Effectively communicating with customer and development teams
  • Thinking independently and utilizing available resources
  • Capability and willingness to manage all project functions as necessary
  • Continuous drive to learn as much as possible

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of work experience in the field of software development
  • Working knowledge of software development tools, compilers, source control, debuggers, etc.
  • Proficient in at least one mainstream compiled language (e.g., C#, Java etc.)
  • Proficient in at least one mainstream interpreted language (e.g., Ruby, Python, etc.)
  • Proficient in complementary web frameworks (e.g., Django, .NET, Angular, Rails, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in mobile app development (e.g., iOS, Android, cross-platform) is a plus
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or comparable level of knowledge
